2026 Ringette Ontario U12 Championships

 

April 9 to 12, 2026

Competition Dates

Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12, 2026

NEW! Competition will now start on Friday, April 10 for ALL TEAMS. 

Teams must be prepared to play as early as 8AM on Friday, April 10 & Saturday, April 11.  Semi-finals and finals will be on Sunday, April 12. 

Each team is guaranteed FOUR games.

  • Thornhill Community Centre (7755 Bayview Ave, Thornhill)

  • Tom Graham Arena Complex (1300 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill)

  • Ed Sackfield Arena & Fitness Centre (311 Valleymede Dr, Richmond Hill)

Competition Format & Qualification

Divisions: Team Contacts received an email on Tuesday, January 27 regarding preliminary seeding for the event. Please ensure that is reviewed and, if necessary, responded to by Friday, January 30 at noon

Registration

Registration is now closed.  Teams who successfully registered (NOT waitlisted) must provide payment to complete the registration process.

Welcome/Dance Party

The Welcome Party isn't mandatory, but we hope you'll attend! To assist with planning, please RSVP your attendance by Friday, February 27. CLICK HERE TO RSVP

Date & Time: Thursday, April 9 - 4:30PM-7:30PM

Venue: Markham Fairgrounds (10801 McCowan Road, Markham)

Theme: "Light up the Rink" - think glow sticks, neon colours, and glow in the dark!! (room will be darkened for the Team Parade and Dance Party)

Overview: Team Parade, Team Photo, Dinner & Snacks, Dance Party

  • Teams DO NOT need banners this year - put that effort into decorating your costumes!

  • Parents may stay for the duration of the Welcome Party

  • Every team will receive a digital photo album after the event

  • Dinner & Snacks are an additional cost (outside food is not permitted)

Team Pin: Each team is asked to please bring ONE team/city pin to the Welcome Party for the map of Ontario (on display at Angus Glen Community Centre)

Team Photo: Each team is asked to please send ONE team photo for the Welcome Party slide show (include team name in the file name and email heading)

Team Songs: Each team is asked to please send THREE songs they want to hear during the dance party

Hotel Booking - Stay to Play Event

All teams travelling to the Markham area are required to book their hotels through the accommodation listing provided by Ringette Ontario. 

All qualified teams will be sent the information to book after the registration deadline. 

A minimum number of rooms will required per team or they will face a fine.

Merchandise

U12 apparel is available for purchase here.  To pick up your order onsite at at the event, orders must be received by MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2026. 

Please note, merchandise is still available for purchase after the deadline, but will ship to the address provided on your order!

Picking up Individual Orders: please have your order number and name on the order

For Team Orders: please send one team representative to pick-up the order

Pin Exchange

Teams are encouraged to bring city, or their own ringette association pins to exchange with the 5 teams they will play during round robin. Pins will be exchanged between teams before or after the game. Please do not exchange pins on the ice.

Hockey Pants

Note that RO previously relaxed the rules around teams wearing hockey pants at this event. 

We do require all players who are not wearing ringette pants to wear the same hockey socks to ensure our officials can quickly differentiate the two teams.
